Heather K. Shemilt

Ms. Shemilt is responsible for marketing commodities as an alternatives asset/diversification to pension, insurance and endowment portfolios. She serves as Co-Chair FICC Women’s Network 2003-2004. Ms. Shemilt joined Goldman Sachs in 1997 as an Executive Director with FICC in London. She provided GSCI marketing to European clients from 1997-1999. Ms. Shemilt was Head of GSCI North American marketing from 1999-2000, and currently is Global Head GSCI business since 2001. Ms. Shemilt became a Managing Director in 2003. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Shemilt worked as a Director and Fixed Income Sales Manager with Scotia Capital Markets, London from 1985-1997. She earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1983.
