Geoffrey G. Clark

Managing Director, Goldman, Sachs & Co., Inc.

In addition, Mr. Clark is the Head of Secondaries and Structured Private Equity and is a member of the PEG Advisory and Investment Committees. He also serves on the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Compensation and Management Committees. Mr. Clark was a co-founder of the Goldman Sachs Private Equity Group in 1996, and established the Firm’s investment efforts in the private equity secondary market in 1997. In 1998, he founded the GS Vintage Funds, today representing over $1.5 billion of capital commitments focused on the secondary market. In addition to his activities in the GS Vintage Funds, Mr. Clark is one of the two senior managers of the Private Equity Group, a 75-person team managing approximately $11 billion of capital, where he has key responsibilities in the areas of business strategy, finance and human capital management. Before joining Goldman Sachs in 1994, Mr. Clark was an investment manager at HSBC Asset Management Canada and an investment analyst at Deutsche Bank Asset Management, in both cases focusing on public equity portfolio management and security selection. He received a B Comm. in Finance with distinction from the University of British Columbia.
