Peter Attia
Peter is the CEO and co-founder of Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI), a non-profit dedicated to reducing the social and economic burden of obesity, diabetes, and their related diseases by funding and facilitating the kind of rigorous human trials in nutrition the government should have funded 40 years ago. Peter is also the principal and founder of Attia Medical, PC, a medical practice providing above-market returns (“alpha”) in longevity and performance. Peter is a former McKinsey & Company consultant, where he was a member of both the corporate risk and healthcare practices. Peter spent five years at the Johns Hopkins Hospital as a general surgery resident, where he was the recipient of several prestigious awards, including resident of the year, and the author of a comprehensive review of general surgery. He also spent two years at NIH as a surgical oncology fellow at the National Cancer Institute where his research focused on immune-based therapies for melanoma. He earned his M.D. from Stanford University and holds a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics.
