Patrick Conley

Patrick Conley joined Risk Control Strategies as Managing Director after a 20-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent. While with the FBI, Mr. Conley was responsible for resolving a variety of high profile investigations. An accomplished agent, Mr. Conley has extensive experience investigating complex white-collar crimes, money laundering, organized crimes and public corruption matters. Additionally, he resolved kidnappings, extortions, bank robberies, and stalking attempts. Mr. Conley spent a significant amount of his career reviewing active shooter and school violence incidents. He has testified numerous times in Federal and State court, and was recognized numerous times by the Director of the FBI and heads of various state and local agencies for his successes.In his investigative capacity, he provided extensive liaison and guidance to the banking industry and local law enforcement on recommended standards and security measures to prevent robberies, burglaries, theft and fraud. Since joining RCS, he continues to utilize his vast expertise on a diverse array of investigative matters.He brings extensive experience in threat mitigation, conducting security assessments and evaluating the current level of risk. During his FBI career, Mr. Conley was assigned as an FBI Crisis Management Coordinator and spent 17 years as a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, serving as Team Leader and Team Commander. In that role, Mr. Conley developed and implemented numerous multi-agency tactical plans in support of some of the largest tactical operations in the U.S. and developed protocols in response to school violence and active shooter incidents.Mr. Conley was instrumental in designing security and crisis response plans for major domestic and International special events, including the Olympics, World Series, Super Bowl and World Cup. He conducted dozens of security protection details for U.S. Government dignitaries and foreign officials, domestically and internationally.Mr. Conley was the primary tactical representative for the FBI Rapid Deployment Team, which responded worldwide to major crises involving the United States or its interests. In 2008, he was temporarily assigned to Afghanistan in furtherance of the FBI’s counterterrorism mission.Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Conley was the controller for a leading environmental engineering firm, and spent several years as the financial manager for a high-tech software engineering firm in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Conley has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
