Frank Rodman

President, TorchStone Global, LLC

Frank Rodman is a senior security executive with a track record of success establishing and growing organizations that manage risk. In his 25 years of qualitative experience – both in government security service and in the private sector – Mr. Rodman has developed an ability to build sustainable, pragmatic security solutions. He has guided business leaders, diplomats and high net worth individuals in planning sophisticated strategies to avoid risk.  Mr. Rodman is the President of TorchStone Global, a security advisory firm formed to discreetly serve world-leading individuals and organizations with end-to-end risk avoidance solutions. The company focuses its efforts on preventive measures in three areas of specialization: Personal Safety, Cyber Security and Asset Protection. Prior to TorchStone, Mr. Rodman created an innovative global security and investigations department at Ziff Brothers Investments, a multi-billion dollar private investment firm, where he served as Director for over eight years. He built forward-looking programs to asses and manage potential and actual threats to the company’s founders, their employees and their operations around the world. He assessed complex global risks and coordinated due diligence efforts in connection with the firm’s venture-type investments. Before joining Ziff Brothers Investments, Mr. Rodman worked as a senior security consultant for Dell Inc., where he developed and personally executed executive protection plans for the company’s founder and Chairman. While a Special Agent with the Diplomatic Security Service of the U. S. Department of State, Mr. Rodman supervised protective security operations for U. S. diplomats, resident foreign officials and visiting dignitaries. He was the State Department’s representative to the FBI-NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force during the investigation of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. As a Foreign Service Regional Security Officer in Tokyo, Mr. Rodman oversaw all aspects of security at the U.S. Embassy and at the five U.S. Consulates in Japan. He coordinated the investigative assistance provided by the U. S. Government in the wake of the poison gas attack on the Tokyo subway system and the terrorist bombing of Philippine Airlines. Mr. Rodman is an active member of several professional organizations for security managers, threat assessment professionals, and business continuity specialists. He is the past Vice President of the Diplomatic Security Foundation and served as a member of the Emeritus Faculty at the Security Executive Council.
