Scott Whitworth

Founding Partner, WM Capital Partners

Scott is the founding partner of WM Capital Partners.  Before founding the firm in 2008, Scott served as a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in New York City, where his responsibilities included negotiating and executing M&A and financing transactions in the healthcare industry.  Before joining Goldman, Scott practiced law with Cravath, Swaine & Moore, also in New York, where he advised acquirers as well as targets in M&A transactions. Prior to his work at Cravath, Scott worked in politics, serving as an Executive Assistant to Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock of Texas for three years. Scott received a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. and a B.A. in Economics with High Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is Chairman of the Board of PAVE Academy Charter School, the first public charter school in Red Hook, Brooklyn.  He also volunteers with Puppies Behind Bars in Manhattan.
