Judy Mencher

Judy Mencher leads the debt investment group of GB Merchant Partners, the investment management affiliate of Gordon Brothers Group. With nearly three decades experience in identifying and managing special situation, distressed and high yield investments, Ms. Mencher is primarily responsible for raising additional capital and growing the debt portfolio. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, she was a principal at DDJ Capital Management, LLC, which she co-founded in 1996 and served as a portfolio manager and participated in numerous restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and recapitalizations. At the time of her departure, DDJ had over $3 billion in assets under management. Earlier in her career, Ms. Mencher served as Associate General Counsel and then Vice President at Fidelity Investments in the High Yield Group. She was also an associate and then Partner at the law firm of Goodwin Procter where she specialized in bankruptcy and corporate financing transactions. Ms. Mencher has a BA in Economics from Tufts University and both an MBA and JD from Boston University.
