Jeffery Coyle is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Monograph Wealth Advisors. Monograph was founded in January 2015 and delivers tailored investment and wealth management solutions to ultra-affluent private clients within a flexible Wealth Strategist model. This model takes a comprehensive and multi-generational approach to planning and portfolio construction. It also establishes a business process that allows families to streamline and integrate the contributions of their professional advisors including the disciplines of estate planning, tax, insurance, private business operations and other non-financial contributors such as philanthropy and life-style services.Jeffery Coyle served as a consultant to Dimensional Fund Advisors in 2013. He focused on the development of new methods of portfolio development and wealth management, in addition to the development of training and support materials intended to raise internal staff and client advisory firm competencies.In his prior role, he served as the Deputy Chief investment Officer of Personal Financial Services for Northern Trust. His position was the result of Northern’s acquisition in 2010 of Waterline Partners which was a firm Jeff co-founded in 2004 and served as managing partner and CIO. Waterline managed the assets of ultra-affluent private clients and was ranked by Wealth Manager Magazine as the top wealth management firm on the West Coast in 2010. Jeff’s role while at Northern was to institutionalize the philosophy and methodology developed at Waterline for broad distribution across Northern Trust. His design and implementation responsibilities included research, investment philosophy, wealth management methodology, educational and training programs, product development, sales and marketing materials, business process and systems automation.Jeff has more than 25 years of experience pioneering and building multi-generational and multi-disciplinary approaches to wealth management. Prior to Waterline, Jeff co-founded Quintile Wealth Management in 2002. Under his oversight, Quintile Investment Advisers was ranked as the country’s top wealth management firm by Bloomberg Wealth Manager in 2004.From 2000 to 2002, Jeff served as Chief Strategy Officer and head of the investments group while at myCFO. He led the development of myCFO’s wealth management process, technology and investment platform. Under his oversight, myCFO was also ranked as the country’s top wealth manager by Bloomberg Wealth Manager in 2002.Prior to joining myCFO, Jeff developed Schroder Consulting Services, a separate division of Schroder and Co., which was focused on the management of middle-market portfolios including both tax exempt and private assets. He pioneered and developed multi-generational strategies and methods that integrated the disciplines of tax, estate, insurance and philanthropic planning. These methods were integrated with a client’s investment strategy to further the objectives of control, wealth transfer and higher after-tax returns. In earlier positions at Bear Stearns, Oppenhiemer & Co. and Merrill Lynch, Jeffery was a securities trader, investment management consultant and broker.He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and university graduate programs. Additionally, Jeff has consulted on economic projects catering to key branches of the federal government and intelligence community. He holds a B.A. in History with an emphasis in Business administration from the University of California. Los Angeles.
