John Burbank

John H. Burbank III is Founder, Sole Managing Member and Chief Investment Officer of Passport Capital LLC.  Previously, Mr. Burbank was a consultant for JMG Triton Offshore, Ltd. a $1.0 billion market neutral arbitrage fund.  Prior to that, Burbank was Director of Research for ValueVest Management, a $150 million long/short global value fund.  Burbank has held various management positions in start-up companies and is active as a private investor.  He received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in English Literature received from Duke University.
