John Moon

John Moon is the Managing General Partner of Moon Capital.  He has been running a similar global long/short equity strategy for 12 years, first at his own firm (Pacific Moon Fund) and at Oaktree Capital Management, where he was the youngest ever principal at the firm.  Previously, Mr. Moon spent three and a half years with Ardsley Partners as one of three individuals who worked on Ardsley’s international hedge fund. Prior to that he served in his family’s business operations in the acquisition and management of private companies. He received a B.A. degree in Economics from Harvard College and earned his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan School of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing.
