Maurice Tuchman

Chairman of Modern Arts Emeritus, Los Angeles County Museum of Art

Maurice Tuchman is Chairman of Modern Art Emeritus at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and is an independent curator for museums, art galleries and private collections worldwide. He was previously Founding Curator and Chairman of the Modern Art Department at LACMA. He provides professional, objective advice on selection, pricing, estate planning, auction house negotiation, research et al with a vast network of sources for contemporary and modern art. Prior to his work at LACMA, Mr. Tuchman was an editor in Modern Art Entries for Columbia Encyclopedia and well as an Assistant Curator and Lecturer at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. A Fulbright scholar, he holds a graduate degree in Art History from Columbia University.
