John Connor

Founder / Portfolio Manager, Third Millennium Russia Fund

John T. Connor, Jr. is the founder and portfolio manager of the Third Millennium Russia Fund, a US SEC-registered mutual fund specializing in the equities of Russian public companies. The $126 million Fund was up 36% in 2006 and has an annual compound growth of 40% a year for the past five years, making it the #5 Internationl Stock Fund in the U.S.. In August, 2006, he was ranked No. 1 Portfolio Manager in the U.S. by the annual Barron’s/ Value Line survey for the second time in four years. The Wall Street Journal cited him as the “Five Year Winner” (10/4/04, p. R4) and in its December 23, 2004 issue (p. D1), it ranked him as the 5th best “Overall Fund Manager” in the U.S.. He also has been the Featured Guest on “Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street” (CNBC, Oct. 22, 2004). Mr. Connor is a member of the board of directors of Teton Energy Corporation (AMEX symbol TEC), based in Denver, Colorado and acts as Chairman of its Audit Committee. For ten years earlier, he served on the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Micros Systems, Inc. (NASD listed). During its start up year, Mr. Connor was the president of mail.ru, Russia’s internet portal with over 20 million registered users. Earlier, he headed the Moscow, Russia, office of the US-USSR Trade & Economic Council (ASTEC), having been deputy director of the US Commerce Dept.’s Bureau of East-West Trade. He continues as a Director of CTEC. Trained as a lawyer at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City, he was a partner in leading law firms in New York, Washington and New Jersey. In the 1980’s he was a member of the Management Committee and general counsel of PHH Corporation (NYSE symbol PHH). Mr. Connor is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was a member of the American Law Institute from 1984 to 2004. He graduated from Williams College, Phi Beta Kappa, with highest honors (after which he taught on a Fulbright grant at Fergusson College in Pune, India) and from Harvard Law School
