Gary Claar

Gary Claar has been with JANA Partners LLC since inception. He was the Founder and Managing Member of Marathon Advisors LLC, an event-driven fund, which was formed in 1999 and merged with JANA Partners LLC in 2001. Previously he was a principal at Lindemann Capital Partners (1997-98) and Perry Partners (1995-1997). Mr Claar began his career as an attorney with Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP (199 1-1995) where he had a diverse corporate practice including mergers & acquisitions, bankruptcy and securities law. Mr. Claar received a J.D. from New York University School of Law (1991) and a B.S. Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (1988).
