Mr. Lee Chong Min is the Managing Partner of CM Investment Advisers Pte. Ltd. (“CMIA”). CMIA is a fund management company based in Singapore focused on private equity investment opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Lee has over 12 years’ experience across various investment disciplines, including private equity and venture capital investing, proprietary trading and fund management, structured products development and securities operations. Mr. Lee was last with Cargill Financial Services Asia, the financial services arm of Cargill Inc., where he headed the equities trading business for the Asia-Pacific region. He also worked as a fund manager at Commercial Union Asset Management managing the UK insurer’s shareholder and policy funds in the Asia-Pacific region, and for the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York where he headed Securities Operations. Mr. Lee’s most memorable experiences in his investment career are the Asia-Pacific Financial Crisis (1997-1999) and the boom and bust of the Dotcom hype (1999-2001) that followed. Mr. Lee held various leadership positions and continued to deliver a good performance even during these turbulent times. Mr. Lee founded CMIA in 2003 to capitalize on opportunities in China presented by: (i) China’s strong economic growth, (ii) the rapid development and prosperiety of the private sector, and (iii) the young, developing but still inefficient domestic capital markets. CMIA has to-date (Oct-2005) recorded an average annualized return in excess of 30% on funds under its management.
