TIGER 21:  Our Curriculum

Welcome to the TIGER 21 Presenter Program. We believe you will find the information archived in this section useful and compelling. Presenters at TIGER 21 fall within three categories – Investing, Educational Resources: Lifestyle and Family and The Landscape.  Generally speakers come to us in one of two ways. The majority of presenters are invited by members to speak to their respective Group and are usually investment managers or company heads who are well known by our members. Additionally, in response to a request from a Group, our Presenter Department will seek out and invite a specific speaker who has demonstrated a particular expertise or achieved top-level performance in a select field or investment strategy. All presenters are approved by either the members or the Facilitator prior to the presentation.

In instances when a presenter is discussing a topic that has a timely and broad level of interest, or when the individual is renown in his field, he or she becomes a Headliner  and is invited to speak to our collective membership in a Headliner Series Event.  TIGER 21 members who cannot attend a Headliner Series Event will have the ability to view this event via Video Conference.

As the various categories and their sub-sections are explored, you will see that most of the presenters and the topics discussed are investment-related. Because the efficiency of the investment marketplace has a direct impact on the level of time it takes to find top-performing managers, we decided that the majority of our investment-related presentations should focus on Alternative Investments (Hedge Funds and Fund of Funds), Private Equity and Real Estate. In addition, we have continual speakers who present on Public Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Asset Allocation and a variety of other investment-related subjects.

As the title suggests, Educational Resources: Lifestyle and Family pertains to topics that relate directly to issues that our members (and their families) deal with everyday. We cover topics that may be too difficult or uncomfortable to discuss with friends, relatives or financial advisors, such as Wealth Management, Philanthropy, Trusts and Estates, Family Dynamics,Health Management, and an array of other "softer" issues. Our Facilitators are not Psychologists and our meetings are not Group Therapy sessions. They are however – for many of our members – the most satisfying parts of the day and add tremendous value to the TIGER 21 experience.

Throughout the course of the year The Landscape curriculum offers our members many opportunities to learn about and explore issues pertaining to some of the more complex and difficult struggles facing our community, nation and world. Topics covered under this subject include the State of Our World, Economy, Environment, International Relations and National Security. TIGER 21 does not have a particular political stance or point of view. We simply recognize that the best way to insure that our members make sound investment decisions is to understand the political, economic and international influences that affect our lives today.

We encourage you to browse through our list of impressive speakers and topics.
