Peter Carlsen

President, AIC Ventures L.P.

Peter Carlsen is President at AIC Ventures L.P. where he is responsible for the daily operations of the firm.  Mr. Carlsen has served in this capacity since AIC has adopted the multi-investor, multi-asset portfolio strategy and has successfully overseen the deployment of the NL Ventures, NL Ventures III, and NL Ventures IV portfolio.  Mr. Carlsen is currently overseeing the deployment of the NL Ventures V portfolio and the sale of the NNL Ventures III portfolio.  As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Carlsen is responsible for conducting financial due diligence interviews with prospective sale/leaseback candidates, participating in investment committee presentations for new acquisitions, in-processing new investors, managing and monitoring REIT compliance requirements, overseeing accounting and asset management functions, coordinating monthly investor reports, debt covenant compliance, and overseeing all investor return distributions.  Prior to joining AIC, Mr. Carlsen has been involved in real estate investing, consulting and development for over 22 years.  He was a Partner and Area Leader for Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, the firm’s real estate consulting practice.  Mr. Carlsen was also formerly with the Marriott Corporation as Regional Director of Hotel Development Planning & Feasibility.  Mr. Carlsen is a CPA and received a B.S. degree from Cornell University.
