Mark R. Patterson

Matlin Patterson Asset Management LLC, which manages Matlin Patterson Global Opportunities Partners L.P., is a $2.2 billion merchant banking distressed fund. He is an Advisory Board member of K. Capital Partners LLC, a Boston-based hedge fund and serves on the Board of Directors of Oxford Automotive, Inc. as well as the Board of Directors of Ski Barber Racing School LLC. From 1994 to 2002, Mr. Patterson was a Managing Director of Credit Suisse First Boston. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Vice Chairman and managed a variety of investment banking and fixed income activities, with special emphasis n Leveraged Finance businesses (for example: LBO coverage: High Yield sales, trading, research and capital markets; private placements; loan syndications). Prior to joining CSFB, Mr. Patterson had almost 20 years of commercial and investment banking experience at firms such as Bankers Trust, Salomon Brothers and Scully Brothers & Foss L.P. Mr. Patterson received a B.A. in Law and Economics from South Africa’s Stellenbosch University and an MBA from New York University.
