Mark Hart

Mark L. Hart III is the president and chief investment officer of Corriente Advisors, LLC, which he founded in 2001 with less than $1 million dollars under management. Corriente Advisors is a global-macro investment advisor whose objective is to generate strong absolute rates of return across various market environments. Corriente Advisors analyzes fundamental, technical and sentiment data to identify investment opportunities offering asymmetric risk / reward characteristics. The firm believes in constructing a diversified portfolio utilizing an array of asset classes across a broad time horizon. Prior to forming Corriente Advisors, Mr. Hart was a founder, principal and managing director of Tarpon Advisors, Inc., a managing director with the Culmen Group, L.P. and an analyst and then an associate with Bannon and Co., Inc. Mr. Hart joined the Board of Directors of The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2009. Mr. Hart earned a B.A. in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994.
